I was reading BF4 forum yesterday and i was surprised with level of bitching about preorders and so on. ÂÂ*People are doing same as they did with premium, "you noobs, you are sheeps" and so on..... even noticed guy with all expansion pack writing how smart he is with not buying premium??????

From one side i understand them as i was also involved in similar things regarding Medal of Honor, and i am ashamed of that, ÂÂ*but from other...

Female soldiers will not be playable in Battlefield 4’s single or multiplayer modes, DICE has confirmed, despite rumours to the contrary.

"I can already now say that you won't be able to play [as a] female in multiplayer," creative director Lars Gustavsson told VideoGamer.com during Battlefield 4's reveal event last night.

And unlike Battlefield 3, which saw players briefly play as jet pilot Lieutenant Jennifer Hawkins, the same is true of the game's single-player, too.

"When it comes to single-player, [in Battlefield 3] you shuffled around numerous characters as you played and it was more about the geopolitical events. This time around, everything from direction to actors, to how we built the engine to deliver the human experience and connection to these digital actors, we’ve also chosen to go for one main character that you play, and with that, that is not a woman, as you might have noticed.

"The geopolitics is more of a backdrop to what happens, it’s more [about] you and your group, and we chose to pick a man for it. It seemed to suit the story."

So why hasn’t DICE opted to include playable female soldiers in Battlefield 4?

"Trust me, there are a million things I would like to do," continues Gustavsson, "it's just that you can’t pick them all.

"I have the deepest respect for the men and the women who choose to do military service. It's not that anyone is better or worse. It's definitely a valid question that we asked ourselves."

Rumours surrounding playable female soldiers first appeared last year in information rumoured to have leaked on a Chinese forum. Other information leaked by the source, including information on the game's three factions, appeared to be accurate.

Battlefield 4 launches this autumn on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Next-generation versions have yet to be confirmed.

The publisher didn't go so far as to deny the rumors, however, leaving us to believe that there could be some validity in what the material revealed. After all, the information posted was supposedly direct "from EA."
"We appreciate fan enthusiasm, especially fans throughout the retail channel," EA concluded. Other features mentioned in the GameStop material included three playable multiplayer factions -- China, Russia, and the United States -- as well as a $10 value for Battlefield 4's expansion.

BF4 looks awesome. The gameplay, and features it gives to the players are just surreal...
I'm seeing it almost like America's Army but much much better, seems like this is a game for real teams and squads, with huge maps like these teamwork and comunication cannot fail. Just awesome!

I totally love the demos so far! And yes I know they are heavily scripted but they just look so epic that I can hardly contain myself ;-)

They had commander mode going for them, but then they screw it up my allowing some incompetent moron on a tablet direct my team.... Why!!
Also DICE. Where is my VOIP!?! No point in all this Teamwork shit if I can't communicate and coordinate with ALL of my teammates. Not just my clanmates but also that random support guy in the corner..

In fear I noticed a Suppression assist pop up somewhere in there
O and I have to say I hate these kind of trailers. All scripted. Guy doesn't get shot ONCE.

On the positive side. The Graphics are awesome. The map looked very big and well done. Destruction was nice IF it isn't limited to the few things we saw.
And I think the Skyscraper demolish is scripted to trigger , like the Caspian tower. I don't think we will be able to shoot it down.

I wouldn't say negative, realistic is a better word. I don't get hyped up by all this scripted marketing shit. Bf3 had it. And that turned out nothing like it was shown.

Where in this do you see spectator mode?
There is no spectator mode in this video. Maybe a bit of Battle-recorder style shots.

But those were in the Caspian Border trailer of BF3 aswell. And DICE has just kept all these tools inhouse because "They are to hard to use" , Wouldn't be surprised if they do the same now.

From pcgames.de who played the multiplayer map we have seen on E3

-It looks promising
-Shanghai siege has 5 Flags, 300m each
-The maps looks small but feels much larger due it's vertical layout
-you play on three floors (down in the metro, on the ground, in the huge building)
-Levelation = Dynamical changing of the map through the players
-the huge builing can be detroyed through the players (tanks shells, c4, and so on)
-after the crash of the building the map is changed and a dust cloud is hanging in the streets (dynamical)
-if you are swimming and you are under fire you are able to dive
- You can use sidearms and other one-hand gadgets while in water (swimming!?!?)
-you can sprint in water now as well (swim faster) and sidearms are now customisable like the main gun
-there will be more water vehicles then shown in the trailer
-battlelog will be multiplattform
-you can change your layout or connect to another server via battlelog during the game
-commander via PC/Tablet/smartphone
-you can destroy the top of the underground tunnels and change the map, the dust will then move in the underground also
- The Commander is nolonger a player on the field as in BF2. The players of his team earn him points with their actions, which he can use for his gadgets!
So if that is right, a thomahawk costs i.e. 5000 Gameplay/Teamworkpoints his team has to generate.
-you have an preview of the situation where you are going to spawn if you are clicking on a squadmember
-Oh. Did I mention you can click on the points in the Deploy screen to spawn?
-No blue filter in maps but more realistic colors
-VOIP will be availble on PC in-game
-Battlefield 4 squads now include 5 players.
-Grenades: several types of grenades can now be equipped besides regular explosive grenades. Flashbangs, smoke grenades, and incendiary grenades were spotted.
Gadgets: there are two gadget slots and they are shared for all gadgets in the class, meaning that you can fully customize what you want in those two slots.
Recon class now features the “motion ball� sensor from Bad Company 2, and the Recon also carries C4 this time.
-Suppression is toned down for all weapons except machine guns

In the PCGames article lars gustavsson is telling that every commander has the UAV and the EMP as default
The EMP for example can be used to countermeasure to other ones UAV....
