We played Alpha and i can say that it was interesting.

CryEngine 3 is still a Console written engine.

CryEngine 1 (The one for the original crysis) is still a superior engine when it ÂÂ*comes to polygons etc. I believe original crysis looks better than this after people fiddled a bit with the engine.
They should have left Crysis as a PC Exclusive. And upgrade the engine to insane amounts.

Not that the crysis games arent the best looking games on console. And they look amazing on PC. But they could have been far more demanding and better looking if they went PC exclusive engine development

Thats also what i was trying to say.
First CryEngine looks better than #2 and #3
Because those are once agian dumbed down for console.

Yeah I'm with Burning. Crysis 1 looked way better than Crysis 2 and 3.
Besides I was already disappointed with Crysis 2 gameplay (dumbed down for consoles) and story (too many bullshit ret-cons) so I'll give Crysis 3 a miss. Multiplayer was alright but it was shit compared to the awesome gamemode Power Struggle in Crysis Wars:

I know they'll never bring it back because consoles couldn't handle it...

Exactly this aswell for me.
I liked it, but it missed something. It was to linear.

In Crysis 1. You could approach an Outpost so many ways
- Cloak Snipe everybody
- Cloak grab people
- Trow stuff (nothing better than hitting a korean in the face with a frying pan)
- Go in rambo with armor.
-Smack everything in Strenght
-Use a vehicle
- Use Hit & Run with speed to lure them out.

List is endless.
So many possibilities. Keep the game fresh for me, then I can look forward to how I will take out the next Outpost.
In crysis 2 it was faaar more linear. You walk trew alleyways, Shoot these guys. You were given 2 options, take the highground or floor. Thats usually it, some well placed Explosive Barrels...
