Movies and tv series I MUST watch

Just got myself another month of usenet so it's time for some downloading :) What movies should I watch, and which tv series? I wish to build up a nice collection of movies, not just to be able to say "couple hundred" when someone asks me how much movies I have, but also because I like to watch movies :)

I have already seen all NCIS episodes, but of course there are more series out there. I hear Game of Thrones is pretty cool, but I'm not sure about that. Not really a fan of hospital series

For a TV show, I would recommend The Walking Dead and Dexter.

I can definatley recommend the following TV series;

Big Bang Theory - Really really funny in a geeky kinda way.
Modern Family - Funny!
Breaking Bad - just awesome
Dexter- grusome awesomness
Game of Thrones - second season just kicked off
Band of Brothers - little old now but still a masterpiece
Boardwalk Empire - can be slow at times
