I decided to switch after 15 years of using AMD mainboards to Intel with watercooling for CPU, i made the choice buying a core i7 2600K to overclock it to 4.5GHz or maybe more.. it has to be stable for gaming. Still thinking about the option to cool the radiator with outside air.
I had some bad luck with ordering a ASRock Extreme7 Gen3 Z68 mainboard ... they just send me the message that they couldn't deliver until the second half of january, so i orderd another board that does the thing i want it to do ... So.. Â*i also don’t go for the new Â*Intel 3930 etc. Â*because i think i will not have any profit from it using my rig only for Gaming and the high price of the new 3900 series processors.
Upcomming april 2012 i buy the new PCI 3.0 ready 22 nm Ivy bridge processor and maybe switch to Radeon 7000 series in Crossfire

Photo’s and Benchmark Â*overclock results will follow later.

-Why DDR3-1333?
-Why not a Seasonic/Corsair PSU with a fan on the top (silent)?
e.g.

http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/258770/corsair-ax1200.html#tab:info
-Why a 10000RPM hdd? Makes a hell of noise

Nice "unlimited budget" build, you gonna play on 2560x1440 or something?

I would have gone for the corsair 1200W but i believe Janbo has this powersupply for a while already so why buy a new one.

Yep the PSU i already had ... and i chose 1333 skill ripjaws because they do a fine job overclocking ..
The Hdd i had it already also, but for the record ... i bearly hear it ÂÂ*... and it's one of the fastest harddrives around .. maybe the fastesd i don't know.
I have one 24 inch screen and a 27 inch

... and i have to work hard for my money, it's just one of my hobby's ÂÂ*.... hmmmm i have verry expensive hobby's ..

Having a horse (or more than one) costs a lot more ;)

I know .. i have 135 English Horses in my barn ...

http://www.oldguys.eu/file/janbo872/Bike-2.jpg

I discoverd that i bought a NOT working SSD and send it back ...
I discoverd that 95 % of all of the pictures i took of the build are shaken and blury, due to wrong camera settings
I discoverd that i have to paint the inner side of my case black
I sold on of my GTX580, because i needed the money and for BF3 i can run it with one card until i probably buy Radeon 7000 series wich i want to watercool seperatly
Later on i will improve wire routing, maybe try to turn watercooler 180 degrees

So i strip everything again in March, and then paint the inside and build in the GPU watercooling with the new card .. or cards

Overclocked to 4.6 GHz stable was easy .. only setting the multiplier to 46 ... later on i try 5 GHz

Too bad it's DOA, were you going to put them in RAID 0?
And get a different case (or the Advanced edition) (or a 650D/800D :) )

Thanks for the tip, verry nice Case this is, but i decided to build all new stuff temporary in a old case i have (tip from MI-SIX) and so i have the time to paint my old case and rip some stuff out i don't need (harddrive brackets in downfront) so i can place the watercooling for videocard in and maybe chipset). The inside collor will be a dark red variant ..

And yes, i wanted to set SSD in raid .. it will double this i guess ..

I have two similar 750 gb hdd ... i maybe try to set this in RAID0 ..

My board supports this ..

Intel® Smart Response Technology

For users who are tempted to connect the SSD and HDD on motherboard, the Intel® Smart Response Technology can make the SSD become the "Cache of the HDD" to boost up the HDD access speed.
