Interesting read on the BF3 PC forum

If you are a server owner/operator, you might be interested to know that DICE have stated via their twitter feed:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
@Battlefield Battlefield
@bronkengaming

"We currently do not have plans for reserved slots, but keep an eye on the Battlelog News for updates. ^JT"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obviously, this is a deal breaker for many clans/communities whose members currently have to stand in line to play on the hardware they are paying for.

I encourage any clan/community operators who want/need to provide their members with a reserved slot to jump on the "Get Satisfaction" thread regarding this issue, and vote it up:

First clan community's buy the game, then they buy the server. And then they can't get reserved slots for VIP access?
Mmh, the word we are looking for is -> STUPID?!

Can't you just kick people to get in?

Don't forget that alot of GSP's are charging an extra fee per slot with BF3 because of something they are getting charged for from EA/Dice. So clans and communities are paying extra, but can't get reserved slots? WOW

Can't you just kick people to get in?

An active admin can be on I think, but can you imagine sitting there all day kicking people to let a member in?

Every full member can kick via ProCon to get onto a server - But reserved slots are the much easier solution.

Kicking players will result in them being disgruntled and less likely to come to the servers again though.

I don't like this approach. Regular players should be awarded, not kicked out like scum.

I for one never kick players to open a space for myself i'm more than happy to wait now there is a queue system.
