Hello OG people,

I would like to be able to connect my laptop to my TV.
I have searched serveral forums where people told me I need to look for a TV OUT input on my LAPTOP and a TV in input in my TV.
I do not have a TV out input in my laptop.

I am a big noob in electronics so hopefully people can help me out what to do.

I have a Acer Aspire 6930
System specs http://www.lapspecs.com/wiki/acer+aspire+6930

On this page I found that my computer doesn't have a TV OUT input.

My TV is a LG LH4000
system specs http://www.gadgetzone.nl/nieuws.php?id=6552
On this page i found the system specs for the TV. (in Dutch)

Hopefully people can help me out on what to do because I don't have the necessary knowledge to complete this by myself.

TV has an HDMI in (so you can put a cable in there, signal goes there), laptop has an HDMI-out (same story, signal comes from there). All you need is an HDMI cable, not sure about the HDMI versions (TV is 1.3, laptop unknown to me) but it should work right away when you plug in the HDMI cable. You'll probably have to change some resolutions though, make the TV your main screen, you should be able to do this by going to Start -> Configuratiescherm -> beeldscherm. Select the TV, change the resolution to 1920x1080 and click "Het bureaublad alleen weergeven op 2", if your TV is 2, which it is most likely to be. Now your main screen is the TV, job's done, assuming you know how to hit the Play button on a video player.

Good luck
