Nvidia are set to release a special Battlefield 3 driver on 25th September just one day before the BF3 beta on the 26th, the driver is said to increase performance across the board on GeForce cards and take full advantage of DirectX 11 effects such as tessellation. Many people had problems playing the BF3 Alpha due to driver issue, we are very happy to see Nvidia addressing this issue so promptly.

ATI have not announce if they will be releasing any drivers for Battlefield 3 as of yet but we will keep you posted if that changes.

I bought a NVIDIA card just for BF3, now I got a GTX580 (second one is incoming) and thrust me it kicks ATi's ass.
The games look way better, and the support for games is also ALLOT better. Too say it like this, on the german gamescom we got t-shirts with Battlefield3 logo, backside had a AMD ATI logo on it. Where the hell is the annoucement that ATi is bringing out a special driver for BF3? <-- There said it all...

This reply is not meant too be flamed, just wanted too state out the difference between support of both company's.

Lol Darkvoo. I do agree one thing where Nvidia is better. They are more powerhungry. I have 650 watts power supply with my ATI 6950 and I can even put 2nd one there :) (As for drivers, thank you for this wink, darkvoo: if you google Nvidia game problems, you will find 48,4 million matches and if you google Ati game problems, you will find 31,4 million matches) ÂÂ*:)

Anyway looking forward for new drivers for Ati as well even the last drivers with BF 3 alpha worked very well.

And for ultimate kick ass gaming, just wait for new Ati 7xxx series which should be available at the begin of next year or end of this year.

Yawn @ Nvidia fanboys.....before I had a ATi 4780x2 in most games I always was having problems, Batman dark asylum, Settlers7, BFBC2, Witcher, Metro etc..etc...

Read the ATi forums and stuff and allot of people are complaining about the way ATi was supporting games.
That's the main reason I bought now a NVIDIA, I agree some ATi cards are better in other way like using little power usage. But hey in the netherlands we don't care, we all have our own nukeplant in our backyards.

So i'm happy with my GTX580 and the second one is also upcoming, could have bought a ATi but this round i'm giving NVIDIA the better deal. Who knows in a couple of years it's back too ATi but for now.......neah!!
