Graphic card: Crossfire two ati cards HD4850, 512MB, 256bit each.

want to change my graphic card's to one ati 5850 or 5870, but i was told that if i buy one of these they won't work 100% with my current processor and i need change that too. I need advice will it be usefull to put graphic card on my current system.

Don't forget to choose a videocard with dual monitor connections/support. Maybe you don't need it now, but in the future it meight be really handy!

And i think it's a pretty weird thing that your new grapic cards dont work 100% with your pretty up to date processor..

I use the ATI HD5770 and run BC2 on high settings. Dunno if HD5870 is needed. But of course you'll be ready for future games to come.

I read that gtx460 Â*are about 10-15 percent more powerful than 5850, somebody of you use this card, can tell me about it?

So i have been readig this topic and i hve just one question.

How much Bath/Afgani/Lek/Kwanza or whatever name you want to give it do you want to spend.

I am working on a small project fot a computer i am going te assemble that will have 2 Nvidia Tesla graphics cards.

[lytebox width=160 height=120:fff7e99bdd]http://www.padovatech.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/tesla-c2050-c2070-460w-300x249.jpg[/lytebox:fff7e99bdd]

the price of these cards vari between € 1.800,- and 3.800,-

So the question is, how much do you want to spend, and maybe more important, what do you want from your computer. ÂÂ*:D

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tesla Cards are NOT for gaming!

If you dont plan to do huge 3D-CAD stuff or want to render a cine - move, HANDS OFF!

Tesla cards are pure "!frame-machines", there is no optimization for physix and gaming-details.

I hope you didnt miss my last question (what do you want from your computer.)

But to react to your "No, Tesla cards are not for gaming", yes you are correct here. But then the project i am working on is far away from gaming ÂÂ*

Ive built quite a few rigs in my days for several different purposes, and i have allways started by asking what do you want to do with your computer, and how much can or do you want to spend on it.

I need PC only for gaming.
I want change my video to play new games about 12-18 months, than i plan buy a ne PC. That's why i dont looking for some serious upgrade, my system is not so bad and if i will change my video it will keep running, and i can keep gaming. Cards wich i have now is obsolete now, that's why i need new.

I think you can consider buying Radeon 6870 card, those are fast and not too expensive.
I have now 4870 and Im thinking about this option. 6870 should also be fast enough for BF 3 at least with CF :)
