Coming on the heels of selling 2.5 million copies of the Stimulus Package, its probably no surprise that Activision is following the same format as before. Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has spilled some new details about the upcoming Resurgence Pack.

As with the original DLC, the new map pack will see the return of 2 classic maps. “Vacant” and “Strike” will make their way into the latest Modern Warfare 2 title.

Along with the 2 classics will be 3 new maps “Trailer Park”, “Carnival” and “Fuel”. He went on to confirm that it will cost $15 or 1200 Microsoft Points. If gamers continue to shell out that much money for so little content, I am afraid they are going to find themselves living in a “Trailer Park” with no “Fuel” and only dreaming about having the money to go enjoy a “Carnival”.

Modern Warfare 2 Cost $60 -
Included:
Full Single Player Campaign
Coop (Spec Ops)
Multiplayer With Several Gametypes
Roughly 15 Multiplayer Maps

Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package $15
Included 2 Old Maps
Included 3 New Maps

Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Package $15
Includes 2 Old Maps
Includes 3 New Maps

You can’t really knock Activision because in their eyes, 2.5 Million x $15 is great for them. It is going to be the gamers that suffer if other developers decide to keep that as a price point for new DLC. I for one will not aide in this Modern Day Ripoff.
